Property Damage Consultant

We currently have an opening for a Property Damage Consultant in our Head Office Claims team. this role is based out of our Calgary or Edmonton location and is responsible for controlling vehicle repair costs and ensuring adherence to best practices in the repair of insured vehicles through the completion, review, and approval of repair estimates. The position will oversee and manage out approved network of Gold Medal Shops and our independent field adjusters. More specifically:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review repair estimates in accordance with Peace Hills Insurance guidelines while ensuring both quality and cost control
  • Provide guidance on the assessment and valuation of total-loss vehicles
  • Oversee and manage the Image Desk function to confirm repair estimates through the Audatex platform
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with our partner Gold Medal Shops and independent appraisers
  • Continuously review the relationships with our Gold Medal Shops to ensure that they are meeting our service expectations and adding value to the claims process
  • Act as a resource for our adjusting teams by sharing knowledge of the appraisal and vehicle repair process, providing support and guidance
  • Liaise with claims management in the Edmonton and Calgary offices to support continuous improvement in our physical damage repair guidelines
  • Provide training and job knowledge to the adjusting teams as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the insurance industry
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in an automotive assessment/estimating role
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • CIP designation is an asset
  • Proficiency in using and navigating digital estimating tools, including Audatex is an asset
  • Knowledge of Guidewire is an asset
  • Proven communication skills and an ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships
